About Us

Liberty Line Farm is a lifelong dream of owners Mackenzie and Zac Appleman. Mackenzie has over twenty years of professionally trained riding experience in the hunt seat equitation discipline.  In addition, Mackenzie has had the pleasure of working along side Debbie Smith of Eos Therapeutic Riding Center, who has provided insurmountable knowledge and guidance along the way.  

Mackenzie is a proud graduate of the Pennsylvania State University in Agricultural & Extension Education and rode on the Penn State IHSA team during her undergraduate career. While developing the farm, Mackenzie was a high school teacher for six years. This experience in a formal classroom setting enables Mackenzie to take a thoughtful, educational approach to her riding instruction that sets her apart from other trainers. 

Mackenzie has been a member of the Central Pennsylvania Hunter Circuit, Central Pennsylvania Junior Horse Show Association,  United States Hunter Jumper Association and United States Equestrian Federation. She has been competitively riding since the age of six and at the age of twenty one began training riders both in and out of the show ring. LLF riders compete on some of the largest stages in the country including USEF Pony Finals in Lexington, KY and The World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, OH. Although LLF has a passion for horse showing, Mackenzie prides herself in meeting the needs of every horse that arrives at Liberty Line Farm and developing them into healthy, well-rounded citizens regardless of horse showing goals.
